The Procurement Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the procurement process for a main contractor based in the UAE. This includes sourcing and purchasing materials, negotiating contracts with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services to support construction projects. Candidates must have experience working in an infrastructure company.

 

Responsibilities:

– Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the company’s objectives and budget requirements.

– Identify and select reliable suppliers, negotiate contracts, and maintain strong relationships to ensure competitive pricing and quality products.

– Monitor and analyze market trends and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize the procurement process.

– Collaborate with project managers and other departments to determine material needs and specifications for each project.

– Manage the procurement budget and provide regular reports on expenditure and cost savings.

– Ensure timely delivery of materials and services to support project timelines.

– Oversee the entire procurement process, from sourcing to delivery, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

– Develop and maintain a database of suppliers, products, and prices to facilitate efficient decision-making.

– Conduct regular performance evaluations of suppliers and take corrective actions when necessary.

– Stay updated on industry trends and new products to continually improve the procurement process.
